KB2302031 - Using a new license key

This article explains how to use a new license key in PC-Check. With this procedure you can use a new license key centrally without touching the client installations.

Here's how it works:
 

Step 1 (Create license file):

In PC-Check Client, click on the 3-dot menu ... and on "About PC-Check...". Click "License" and enter your new license key (5x5 characters, separated by hyphens). Click OK.

This will create the file PC-Check.key in the directory %appdata%\PC-Check.
 

Step 2 (Make it accessible to all clients on the network):

Copy the newly generated PC-Check.key file into the central ConfigShare directory. This is the directory that is displayed in the PC-Check Designer at the bottom left.

Clients automatically use the license file from the ConfigShare directory at the next startup.
