► How much does PingTool cost?
PingTool is not open source software, but free of charge up to 50 objects - for private and business use. Thousands of administrators worldwide already use PingTool as their standard tool.
► How can I roll out PingTool in my company?
PingTool is portable software, so no installation is required. Rolling out via software distribution is easily done with a pure copying process. Simply ensure that all files from the download end up in the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\PingTool and distribute a shortcut to PingTool.exe.
► Is PingTool able to ping TCP ports?
Yes. PingTool can check remote TCP ports in the GUI or via command line. Simply add the TCP port number in the GUI. If you would like to use the command line port check tool, click on "Port check on object(s)". This allows you to carry out detailed examinations. The TCP ping works independently of the target's operating system.
► I would like to start PingTool permanently with a ping interval of 60 seconds. However, it always starts with 2 seconds. What can I do?
Create a shortcut with an interval of 60 seconds: PingTool.exe -interval:60
► Will PingTool continue to be developed?
Yes, we are continuously developing PingTool. We release a new version at least once a year. The current version is 5.0. You can even influence the development of the software by making suggestions for improvements. Here is the link: PingTool - Suggestion for improvement.
