TCP port check via the GUI

Hello all,
a major new feature of PingTool version 4 is that the TCP port check has been integrated into the graphical user interface. This was one of the most frequent requests from user feedback - alongside the request “Correct sorting by IP address”.
You now have the option of specifying a TCP port for each object instead of a ping. This enables much more detailed monitoring of the systems, as almost all applications are based on TCP ports. If no TCP port is specified or “ICMP” is specified, a ping is executed.
