The PingTool

Hello everyone,

having just passed the 100,000 downloads mark (english version), we thought it was time to open a forum for the PingTool.

Originally, the PingTool was only intended as an add-on to AdminsRobot - who needs “another Ping Tool”? Over time, more and more useful functions were added (for personal use) and the tool was offered as a free download. It now includes the following functions and is also quite performant:

- permanently shows whether devices are responding to a ping (red/green)
- scans IP address ranges with Mac addresses and manufacturers
- checks for remote devices whether they are responding on certain TCP ports
- wakes PCs via Wake-On-Lan
- logs all status changes permanently
- direct access to the devices via Telnet, SSH and HTTP(s)
- includes PortCheck, the worldwide popular TCP port check tool
